Hotel Envoy – Boston
The Envoy Hotel in Boston was voted the Best New hotel of 2015 by USA Today. Oasis Specialty Glass was the recipient of a Prism Award for Best Use of Interior Glass for its professional installation of this complex and super-sized project. With 1/2″ sliding glass panels that approached 300 lbs each and which had digitally images printed directly into the glass, this projected pushed installation and hardware technologies to the limits and beyond. The result was a beautiful and unique design that everyone involved in the project can be proud of. The project featured bathrooms segmented from the main bedroom by large sliding (and fixed) glass partitions that featured recessed sliders with soft close technology from Bohle. Double closing dampeners slow down the massive glass panels to a quiet stop before reaching the glass return panels. Dual glass enclosure for both the water closet and shower, also feature Digitally imaged frost pattern for added privacy. The double challenge of size, and matching printed glass across multiple panels was exicuted with precision and expertise by Oasis’ expert installation team.
